In 1561, the Eleventh Doctor and River Song encountered a group of Silents in London while travelling through rogue time corridors created by an Eternity Clock. The Silents had obtained a fragment of the Eternity Clock and were trying to use it in their experiments. After visiting several different points in London's timeline, the Doctor and River stole a time capsule from the Silents and used it to batter through a Dalek stronghold in 2106.
