Professor Zebulon Pryce was on the faculty of the University of Sallas. While studying the experimental Hith craft Skel'Ske on Purgatory, he discovered how to produce icarons with the assistance of the Imperial Landsknechte (and a weapons research grant).
The icarons drove him mad. He was imprisoned on the Imperial prison planet Dis. (PROSE: Original Sin)
