Scrub away the lists, ladies.

This article contains far too many bulleted lists. These sections should be converted into normal prose.

Talk about it here.

The World Zone Authority was the successor to the United Nations on Earth in the early 21st century. Nations were grouped into Zones answerable to a World President, headquartered in the UN's old New York building. Each Zone had its own Controller but a centralised security agency under a World Security Chief had jurisdiction over the whole body, and visas and passes were needed to move from Zone to Zone. Rockets had replaced planes: the Australia-Hungary flight took two hours. (TV: The Enemy of the World)

In the 2010s, the planet was suffering food shortages and the scientist Ramón Salamander gained fame for solving the problem; his Sun Store increased grain production in Canada and Ukraine in 2018. Secretly, Salamander was power hungry and in 2013, he'd begun a plan to conquer the planet by tricking scientists into believing a nuclear war had started. While he murdered and blackmailed politicians to allow his own trusted officials to take top jobs in the Authority, he had the scientists cause "natural" disasters that he could "warn" against or aid. In 2018, he triggered a volcano in the Central European Zone and discredited the Controller. His plot was discovered and stopped by the Second Doctor. (TV: The Enemy of the World)

In 2054, General Tchike had direct orders from the inner circle of the World Zones Authority to capture thermosystron bombs from the Montana Republican Militia. (PROSE: Alien Bodies)

During the Dalek invasion of Earth in the 2150s, the House of Commons had a mosaic with the logo of the World Zones Authority. (PROSE: Alien Bodies)
