Wolverine was, according to differing accounts, either a fictional superhero, (PROSE: Remake/Remodel, Dr Cadabra, TV: The Return of Doctor Mysterio) or a real individual and member of the X-Men. (COMIC: The Sword is Drawn)

Biography[]

Wolverine was a member of the X-Men, thus attending a school held by Professor Xavier. At various points, he had team shots taken with the rest of the group, which later came into possession of Kitty Pryde and Captain Britain.

At one point, he challenged Nightcrawler to walk down the Main Street of Salem Centre undisguised, in his natural shape. (COMIC: The Sword is Drawn)

Death[]

Legacy[]

X-Men transform into Warwolves

The X-Men, including Wolverine, transform into Warwolves to attack Kitty Pryde within a dream. (COMIC: The Sword is Drawn)

In a dream simultaneously experienced by Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler, Wolverine was among the individuals acting only as part of a film set directed by Professor Xavier. As such, his powers would only work when Xavier gave the word for the scene to be begun. Kitty was happy to see the X-Men alive, but was confused about why they were behaving like actors. In the dream, he began by sitting in a chair and reading a book, but quickly sprung into action when the scene began.

When Rachel entered the scene, despite not being planned to feature in the production, Xavier ordered the X-Men, including Wolverine, to chain her and tear her apart, stating that when her teammates needed her most, she ran out on them. Kitty stopped this by touching Rachel, giving her the power to phase through the chains, which lead to the team turning on her. They were ordered by Xavier to transform into Warwolves, who attacked her. Just as they were about to reach her, Kitty woke up from her dream. She then pondered over an old team shot of the X-Men, including Wolverine.

Another team shot featuring Wolverine was in the possession of Captain Britain, who had fallen into a bad state after hearing about the death of the X-Men.

While reminiscing around a fire about their experiences with the X-Men, Nightcrawler recalled the time that Wolverine challenged him to walk down the Main Street of Salem Centre undisguised. Kitty told him that she'd give anything to have seen that. (COMIC: The Sword is Drawn)

Behind the scenes[]

Wolverine appears on a poster on Grant's wall in The Return of Doctor Mysterio. However, he is not identified by name.

While going undercover in 2020's Spyfall, Ryan Sinclair has second thoughts about his choice of alias, having gone with the name "Logan". He tells Yaz he's worried he looks "nothing like Hugh Jackman". Hugh Jackman played Wolverine, also known as Logan, in Marvel's X-Men film franchise, including the 2017 film Logan.
