Windsor Castle was a castle in England that was owned by the British monarchy.

A painting stolen from the Louvre was displayed in Windsor Castle in 1815, despite only being a century old. It still hung there a century-and-a-half later. (PROSE: Set Piece)

When the last surviving members of the Luron mothership attempted to invade Earth in 1979, their mothership, which was more than a mile long, entered the atmosphere before coming to a stop above Windsor Castle. On 23 November 1988, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visited the castle in search of Lady Peinforte's silver bow. In the 2000s, a plane destined for London, New Heathrow, crashed into the Windsor, taking out the castle. A prince and his close friend were believed to be in the castle when the crash occurred.
