  • Many of the bar patrons resemble Earth animals. Creeby resembles a fly, Jokk an ape and an unnamed character resembles an elephant.

Notes

  • Following the departure of Izzy Sinclair, this is the first of six stories in which the Doctor travels alone.
  • This comic story was reprinted in The Flood graphic novel.
  • The title is a reference to "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," the theme song to the American sitcom Cheers, which takes place in a bar.
    • Caralla's name, clothing, and appearance resemble those of Carla, the Cheers waitress.

Continuity

  • Frobisher is an ex-companion of the Doctor. He left to live on the planet A-Lux in DWM: A Cold Day in Hell. He uses the alias Bish whilst in a more humanoid form.
