Welcome to Torchwood was the first episode of Torchwood Declassified. It aired alone on 19 October 2006. It gave viewers an idea of what to expect from Torchwood, also previewing the new series' first episode, Everything Changes, which then aired three days later.
A large amount of footage in this episode was re-used from the Doctor Who Confidential episode of the same name.
There were two edits of this episode - a 10 minute TV version and a 15 minute DVD version.

The extended DVD version of this episode was exclusive to the Torchwood: Series One, Part One DVD released on 26 December 2006; the Torchwood: The Complete First Series DVD box set released on 19 November 2007; and then later on the Blu-ray & HD DVD box set released on 30 June 2008.
