Vrestin was the leader of the Menoptera expedition tasked with clearing the way for the Menoptera spearhead to free Vortis from the Animus.
When Hrhoonda was killed and Hrostar captured, Vrestin fled and met Ian Chesterton, whom she became friends with. Vrestin and Ian fell underground and met the Optera. When Ian convinced the Optera that Vrestin was a god, Hetra, their leader, and three other Optera went with them to find the Animus.
When Barbara Wright destroyed the Animus, Vrestin welcomed the main force to Vortis. (TV: The Web Planet)
