Venn was a young man from Hoppiq Minor.

Due to his Q-Negative blood type, when his town came under the control of Miss Garglespike's gang of vampires, he became a target for use as an unwilling "donor" of blood for the pub (and, secretly, to fuel Garglespike's secret stash intended to be used in the assassination of Zadok the Gory). He'd been nabbed for the second time when the Corsair arrived in town, witnessing him being forcefully given Raxian tequila to drink so as to give his blood an interesting flavour. The following morning, when the previous night's donors were released, the Corsair noticed that Venn didn't seem to have any parents to go back to, unlike the other victims, and decided to have dinner with him, taking the opportunity to question him to learn more about the situation. The two ended up having sex, apparently Venn's first time.

After spending the next night with the Corsair again, Venn joined him in his investigations on his third day on Hoppiq Minor. After Venn thought to ask the Widow Tvankk for directions, they managed to find Garglespike's secret stash in the forest. They were attacked by Antrenor and, soon, by Garglespike herself. Venn held his own in the fight and was also able to seriously injure multiple vampires with his spit, which was how the Corsair realised that Garglespike had been making the donors drink holy water so that her stash could serve as an untraceable poison to kill Zadok. Eventually, the two prevailed, though they did not manage to kill Garglespike completely. After one last night spent with the Corsair, the two parted ways as the Corsair left with the time tide. Venn intended to leave his village for "the Drekel Pulpberg", to build a new life there, selling an energy capacitor stolen from Garglespike's lair to get himself settled. (PROSE: The Bloodletters)
