VJ Day

Americans celebrate VJ Day. (COMIC: Sky Jacks)

VJ Day, (PROSE: Deadly Reunion) also known as Victory in the Pacific Day, marked the Allied victory over Imperial Japan in the Pacific War and the end of World War II as a whole. It took place on 2 September 1945, the day Japan surrendered. The Eleventh Doctor described the occasion as "one hell of a party" and returned the lost surviving crew of the Sky Jack home to experience the jubilations. (COMIC: Sky Jacks)

Its European equivalent was VE Day, which marked the defeat of Nazi Germany earlier on 8 May 1945. (PROSE: Magic of the Angels)
