Thanks for your recent edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a Fandom wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Hi, before uploading DVD covers a good place to check to see if we already have them uploaded is Doctor Who DVD covers (follow the links on the page for specific regions). As all the covers displayed on these pages will already have been copyright tagged. Thanks. --Tangerineduel / talk 12:34, October 18, 2011 (UTC)
Your input is needed!
You are invited to join the discussion at Forum:Can we disable visual editor please?.
Hi! Please do not add spoilers to pages, like you did at The Rings of Akhaten. Per Tardis:Spoiler policy, even titles of unaired stories are considered spoilers. Thanks! Shambala108 ☎ 14:30, May 2, 2013 (UTC)
Infobox image at Tenth Doctor Edit
You removed the following text at Tenth Doctor as you inserted a new pic there.
|image = TenSpecsBiggerSmileLeftSITL.jpg<!--This picture may not be changed without community discussion, because it is the result of extensive community involvement at [[Talk:Tenth Doctor]]. It is not eligible for removal until 11 December 2012 -->
Since you removed it, you are deemed to have read it. Did you think it didn't apply to you for some reason?
The infobox picture at Tenth Doctor was arrived at after literally weeks of discussion. It may not be removed without another community discussion. Since it is now after 11 December 2012, a new discussion may be started, but you cannot just swap pictures without first taking it to the community and starting a discussion at Talk:Tenth Doctor. This means that the picture cannot be swapped out until an admin closes whatever new discussion may arise. Effectively, then, only an admin, after consultation with the community, can swap out this picture.
Removing content Edit
Hi! It is against Tardis:Vandalism policy to remove content from your talk page. I've restored the info that you deleted. Please check out this rule carefully (see the section called "your own talk page"). Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 14:40, December 8, 2013 (UTC)
Christmas cheer Edit
Incarnation number Edit
Heya :) Thanks for your recent edit to Season 13. However, please be aware that T:DOCTORS applies on most every page of the wiki. Pipe switching away from a form of the name that includes the incarnation number is only allowed on story pages, and only then with performed Doctor Who so as to match a visible credit roll. So on a page like The Angels Take Manhattan, you should pipe trick from Eleventh Doctor to [[Eleventh Doctor|The Doctor]] because of T:CAST. But elsewhere, you'd just leave references to the Eleventh Doctor un-switched. Thanks :)
Thank you, I had been unaware T:DOCTORS applied to season pages and assumed T:CAST did. I made that change on a couple other season pages too before this and have now reverted them. --TARDIS2468 ☎ 00:37, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
Video recommendation Edit
Titan timeline Edit
Since the Titan 12 comics keep referencing the Alliance of Races and the Hyperion War, it currently seems to be involved in a similar, though much subtler, story arc as 10 and 11. My guess is that either the arc will conclude and then there might be a large time skip, or it is connected to the upcoming crossover special. Time will tell.BananaClownMan ☎ 12:41, July 11, 2015 (UTC)
Hi! Some of your TFTT images are larger than 100kb. Per Tardis:Image use policy, images uploaded to the wiki should be less than 100kb. Usually larger images are deleted, but I wanted to give you a chance to reupload the images at a smaller size. Thanks! Shambala108 ☎ 00:36, May 7, 2016 (UTC)
Prisoners of Time Edit
Hey, as one of the editors who contributed the most for the Prisoners of Time page, I believe your input at this thread: would be very useful. Thanks OncomingStorm12th ☎ 23:46, September 4, 2016 (UTC)
