Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
- a list of people whose job it is to help you
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Hi! Please note that the edit you made at Last Christmas (TV story) was removed because it violates our spoiler policy. Please take the time to read through the entire policy at Tardis:Spoiler policy so you understand our definition of spoilers. Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 14:46, April 20, 2015 (UTC)
Hi! I have to ask you to stop editing infoboxes for now. We have several policies and guidelines on what information is and isn't allowed in infoboxes, and most of your edits have had to be undone because they go against our policies.
Please take a look at the guidelines for filling out infoboxes, located at Category:Infoboxes, and it might be helpful to browse old discussions on how to use infoboxes, located at Category:Infobox discussions. Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 02:14, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
- Once again, I am asking you to stop editing infoboxes. You don't appear to have read the policies I pointed out in the post above. Most of your edits have had to be undone, as you have removed valuable content and/or added information against our infobox policies. Please leave a message on User talk:Shambala108 so that I know you have received this message. Shambala108 ☎ 19:20, April 28, 2015 (UTC)
I have been very patient with you, asking you several times to leave the infoboxes alone. You do not yet have a good grasp of what to include, and your edits are not useful.
On looking at your contributions, I am seeing a pattern. You are apparently only editing infoboxes that earn you points/badges for the Game of Rassilon (our wiki's name for the badge game). You must read the policy regarding that game at Tardis:Game of Rassilon rules, because most of your edits violate that policy.
You are blocked for a month because previous blocks haven't sunk in. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you don't even notice my messages here. Many users don't know what the message notifications are. A block can sometimes be useful as a way of getting a user's attention.
At some point while you are blocked, you must leave a message here telling me that you have read and understood Tardis:Game of Rassilon rules and that you will refrain from editing infoboxes until you have some more editing experience here. Shambala108 ☎ 21:12, May 23, 2015 (UTC)
