Plot[]

1962. Four kids are sitting in their tree house until the Doctor makes an entrance with a scanner. She's tracked the signal to Monstario the Devourer, who is planning to strip the earth of its natural resources, specifically aluminium and other metals. The Doctor realizes that no one needs to be hurt. That's what nineteen-sixties kids, who have grown up on rations and bomb-sites, are here for. They start attacking Monstario's gang with baseball bats.. This display of courage appeals to this Doctor. After the conflict is over, the kids ask the Doctor if she'll return. She says she'll see what she can do, and as she walks away from the treehouse, she says that earth might be a backwater, but she's starting to like these people.

1963, a junk yard on Totter's Lane. One year later, but many lifetimes for the Doctor, including one that had to be started from childhood. And in which the Doctor gained their own family, one of whom he brought along with him. As they exit the TARDIS, Susan asks how long they'll be staying, to which the Doctor replies that they'll be staying long enough for Susan to enroll and continue her studies.
