The Tyleth were an aspect of the Enemy. Described as universally aesthetically, carnally, religiously, gravely, terrifyingly beautiful, they were seen by Captain Zauro as having weaponised the Great Houses' cultural stagnancy, as being around them awakened new emotions inside of him. They utilized weapons and tools that did not behave according to any known laws of physics, such as cloaks that gave off no radiation, or bows that would age a target randomly.

The Tyleth paid a tithe to a set of beings that lived beyond their universe, a set of eyes in the blackness. Every year seven hundred of their race were sent to them and none came back. As such, the Tyleth plan to invade the universe of the Great Houses, according to the account of Zauro. (PROSE: Eyes)
