Worldbuilding[]

  • According to Tommy, Torchwood Three was overwhelmed by Weevils in the 1970s and they called in help from Torchwood One, who took some Weevils back to London to study. The captive Weevils breached containment.
  • Southwark tube station is the last stop before London Bridge on the Jubilee line toward Stratford.
  • Ianto is impressed with the arches at the old Victoria station.
  • Tia takes codeine after being viciously attacked by a Weevil, and fends her off with her own detached arm.
  • Tommy has night vision glasses.
  • The lever to control the tube train is called the dead man's handle, according to Tia.

Notes[]

Continuity[]

  • Tommy believes that the Weevils originated in Cardiff, rather than coming through the Rift, based on Torchwood intel. He does not know they were originally humans, though, saying this is "not the current hypothesis". (AUDIO: The Torchwood Archive)
  • Yvonne believes something big is going to happen at Torchwood One, (TV: Doomsday) which Ianto needs to prepare for. (TV: Cyberwoman)
  • Ianto's familiarity with Weevils would later help him convince Jack Harkness to hire him for Torchwood Three. (TV: Fragments)
  • Tommy gifts Ianto a stopwatch from one of the bodies. The behind the scenes interviews describe this as the origin of the stop watch Ianto uses throughout the televised a Torchwood episodes.
