The trial of Morbius saw the conviction of the renegade Time Lord Morbius for war crimes after his army was defeated by the Time Lords and their allies', thus ending the Civil War. (PROSE: The Legacy of Gallifrey)

The outcome of the trial was decided in advance, but it still took place for appearances' sake (PROSE: Warmonger) It was staged on Karn, and attended by Maren, leader of the Sisterhood of Karn and an enemy of Morbius, (TV: The Brain of Morbius) though the Sisterhood would rather the Time Lords had held the trial on Gallifrey.
