Timelord was a comic book pitched by Stan Lee to Marvel UK editor Dez Skinn in 1979 in one of his nightmares.
It featured a retooled version of the Fourth Doctor: now a superhero called Timelord, the character was defined by Lee as "a doctor by day who becomes an avenging superhero using his sonic sceptre". Within the dream, Skinn was horrified by this pitch and the next, which prompted him to put a dummy issue together on his own once he woke up and take it straight to the BBC.
