The Doctor's species was an unspecified species that resided on a planet in another dimension. They had the ability to regenerate infinitely, continuously changing their appearances.

The Doctor, who was dubbed the Timeless Child when she was younger, was a part of this species. After being brought to to Gallifrey by the Shobogan Tecteun, the Matrix redacted her memories, making her a part of a new higher society on the planet, called Time Lord. (TV: The Timeless Children)
