The Timelash was a time corridor powered by kontron crystals. It was used by the Borad to banish rebels from Karfel to Scotland in 1179. The Timelash was capable of catching a TARDIS. The Sixth Doctor scavenged the technology to create a number of time-loop based devices to help in the uprising against the Borad's forces.
