Sir Thomas Fairfax was an English general during English Civil War, fighting against King Charles I.

Together with Oliver Cromwell, he conspired to depose the king. He ordered that Charles I be transferred to Hurst Castle. He, however, opposed the execution of the king. (PROSE: The Roundheads)
