Think Tank, led by Conrad Clark, was a grifter conspiracy group attempting to debunk UNIT, claiming that they had faked the existence of aliens to "keep [society] scared". After they impersonated one of the Shreek, they revealed themselves officially to the world, causing them to rise in fame and helped Conrad break into UNIT headquarters. After he insulted Kate Stewart's father, she released the real Shreek that UNIT had kept in their vaults. The Shreek attacked Conrad, causing him to drop the act of trying to reveal the "truth" of UNIT and beg for help. When Ruby Sunday neutralised the creature, Conrad thanked her before immediately going back to pretending to believe in Think Tank, saying that "[UNIT's] special effects were improving", causing the Shreek to bite his arm. Think Tank was disbanded and Conrad was arrested before being seemingly freed by the Governor, who was the Rani, using the alias "Mrs Flood" in disguise.
