This page lists appearances of the Space Security Service (SSS) in the order in which they experienced them. This timeline is based upon observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories.

Timeline[edit source]

According to one account, The SSS was founded in the 20th century, with George Carrington as its head.
Before Sara's time.
According to this account, Sara Kingdom is one of the SSS' first agents and is chosen for their first mission.
Early in Sara's career
Sara is now trained and efficient.
Set in 3999.
In the year 4000, the Dalek invasion is thwarted. Sara is killed. The SSS is led by Karlton
SSS Agent Anya Kingdom is placed in 1978 England as "Ann Kelso" by the SSS's new leader Zaal. "Ann" becomes a companion of the Fourth Doctor after subconsciously recognising it as a means to find the members of the the Syndicate. (AUDIO: The Sinestran Kill, The Perfect Prisoners)
The Anya Kingdom's personality briefly re-emerges as she kills Zephon, before submerging once more.
SSS leader Zaal is killed, and is noted as being a direct successor to Karlton. Anya's "Ann Kelso" personality is removed permanently and she leaves the Doctor's company while in 41st century Europe.
In the 41st century, the SSS, whose records of the Daleks span back to the Dalek War Machines, is engaged against the New Dalek Paradigm in a conflict which has lasted 100 years. Some decades after The Daleks' Master Plan, the Daleks lost Caridos in 3994.
