The Three Musketeers was a series of novels. A film version of The Three Musketeers was released in 1973. Genetic material from its principal stars, Michael York, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain and Frank Finlay were used to create Reprises of d'Artagnan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos in Europa in the 33rd century. - Richelieu was also a leading character in The Three Musketeers.
- Richard Briers, Francis De Wolff, Rodney Bewes and Ben Aris appeared in the 1973 film.
- In the 1954 version of The Three Musketeers, D'Artagnan was played by Laurence Payne.
- In the 1993 version by Disney, the film starred Paul McGann as the characters Girard and Jussac.[1]
- In the 2014 BBC One series The Musketeers, Peter Capaldi played antagonist Cardinal Richelieu until he had to leave to play the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who. Murray Gold composed the music for the same series, and a number of episodes in the first series were directed by Toby Haynes and Saul Metzstein.
