The Super Sub was an unusually brief comic story original to The Dalek Outer Space Book, a Dalek annual of the 1960s.
Summary[]
Beneath the waters of an unnamed planet, Jeff Stone and the other crew of Bathylab 3 find a thousand-year-old Dalesub. Using their water extractor, they are able to pump the water out of the downed sub, thus facilitating repairs. Soon, they have the Dalesub working again, and are almost immediately engaged in a battle against an approaching Dalek patrol. The Dalesub easily dispatches the Daleks, and its human crew celebrates.
Despite the success, Stone solemnly vows, "In our hands this sub won't be a weapon of destruction. We'll just use it as a deterrent to stop destruction."

- As with several other comic stories in the 1960s Dalek annuals, the Super Sub contains a double-page schematic which is narratively implied to be part of the story. In this case, the schematic of the Dalesub was presumably information to which Jeff Stone was privy, necessary to return the craft to seaworthiness.
