The Siege of Shackleton was the fourth and final story in the audio anthology Defender of the Earth, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Una McCormack and featured Jacob Dudman as the Tenth Doctor.

- Wilsontown and Shackleton are settlements on Antarctica, which hasn't had ice or snow for almost a century, due to climate change.
- Apsley is a larger settlement with 3 or 4 thousand inhabitants.
- The Doctor manages to receive a transmission in galactic standard 9, but "[doesn't] understand the dialect".
