The Shard

You may be looking for the species.

The Shard was a London skyscraper. (TV: The Bells of Saint John) It was located in Southwark.[1]

History[]

By 2013, Rosemary Kizlet and her group used it as their headquarters. A Spoonhead hacked into by the Eleventh Doctor drove an anti-gravity motorbike up its side. Once UNIT took control of the Shard, the Great Intelligence ordered Kizlet to erase the memories of the organisation, returning them to their "factory settings". (TV: The Bells of Saint John)

Footnotes[]

  1. The map in the The Lie of the Land shows Southwark Crown Court to be on the south embankment of the River Thames, directly beside HMS Belfast. When a birds-eye view of the same area of London is shown later in the same episode, the Shard can be seen between HMS Belfast and Southwark Bridge, definitively placing it in Southwark.
