The Rhino of Twenty-Three Strand Street was the twelfth short story published in Twelve Angels Weeping, and later released, with illustrations, in Doctor Who The Official Annual 2020.
It was the first non-televisual Thirteenth Doctor story to be published after her full television debut in The Woman Who Fell to Earth, broadcast four days prior. Like the non-TV stories she appeared in before, which predated the broadcast of the episode, she is depicted as travelling alone.
