Royal Portrait Commissioned[]
According to The National Herald, the Royal Family commissioned a portrait of the King, initial sittings for which were to take place at the beginning of the month following that in which the paper was published. The final painting was to be displayed at the National Portrait Gallery in London for six months, after which time it would be returned to Windsor Castle where it would remain indefinitely. The only known The National Heralds are a Greek-American one and an Indian one. Neither of them were around in the 1920s.
