This story was never produced.

Therefore, its known narrative elements are not a part of the Doctor Who universe as we, on this Wiki, choose to define it. It may have been the basis for a similar story in another medium, however — and that story may indeed be valid.

The Last One To Go To Sleep was a Doctor Who story pitched by Peter Harness to Steven Moffat for Series 9, but it was rejected due to being too similar to Sleep No More.[1]

Story notes[]

The story would have featured a relationship between Clara Oswald and Hugo, a hospital consultant, which would have had great importance to the plot. This relationship would have come about when Clara felt that "she didn't think she would love anyone again" after the death of Danny Pink. The story would have seen Clara forced to choose between Hugo and the the Doctor.[1]
