Biography
Tegan joined the Doctor on 28th February 1981. Whilst on her way to Heathrow Airport to start a new job with Air Australia, one of her cars tyres got a puncture. She entered the TARDIS, thinking it was an actual police box and expecting to telephone the authorities. The Master devised a plan to trap the Doctor and in the process of carrying it out killed Tegan's aunt Vanessa with his Tissue Compression Eliminator. (DW: Logopolis)
Tegan is very confident and is not afraid to argue with many of the monsters she encounters after she chooses to travel with the Doctor. In Earthshock she even risks her life to retreive a cyber gun.
In Resurrection of the Daleks she decides to stop travelling with the Doctor after she is injured and realises it is only a matter of time until she would be killed if she continued.
She also had a cousin named Colin Frazer (DW: Arc of Infinity) and an uncle named Andrew Verney (DW: The Awakening)
She became very good friends with Nyssa and was distraught after Adric's death and Nyssa's leaving the TARDIS crew.
Possible future
- Tegan may have regained her job as a stewardess at some point and had a brief encounter with the Sixth Doctor, a young boy named Gareth Jenkins, and some Sontarans. (DW: A Fix with Sontarans)
- In later life, Tegan may suffer from a terminal illness, leading her to a final encounter with the Fifth Doctor. (BF: The Gathering)
