So, if we don't find out which one is which next week, should we merge this with the human Osgood page. Right now, we don't know if Zygon Osgood appeared in Death in Heaven, or if she appeared in The Zygon Invasion beyond the introduction. The Inhaler Proof[]

In the show, we don't see Human Osgood recover the inhaler. As such, it seems most likely to me that Zygon Osgood is the one that handed the inhaler to Human Osgood after the Doctor wiped everyone's memories of their species. Yes, the humans were on the right and the Zygons were on the left, so I can see an argument for the conclusion that is was Human Osgood who had the inhaler... I suppose really, the whole point of Osgood is that it should be ambiguous.

If we are to make an educated guess, I'd say it's more likely that they switched places off-camera than Human Osgood reclaimed her inhaler off-camera. It's must be one or the other, and the former seems more likely than to assume she won a fight with her Zygon twin that we never saw.

I have therefore edited this article (Zygon Osgood) and the human Osgood article (Petronella Osgood) to reflect this assessment...

But I wonder if perhaps the most apposite thing to do would be to merge the pages and respect the ambiguity. After all, it is this uncertainty that really defines the idea of Osgood. It's so central to the conception of the character. In the end, I don't think the viewer is given enough information to know for certain which was which. Perhaps the Wiki information should reflect that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.13.234.163 (talk • contribs) .

The novelisation makes it explicit that it was the human Osgood who passed the Zygon Osgood her inhaler. Jack "BtR" Saxon 18:12, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
