Given enough information about the nature of the universe it is entirely possible to calculate the rate of entropy build-up and predict when the heat-death of the universe would occur. Humans could calculate this given enough knowledge of the size, age, mass, and rate of expansion of the universe. Time Lords should have no problem predicting when the end of the universe would occur without having to see it for themselves. (Could someone add this in more eloquent language than I have?)

Professor YANA - Does YANA refer to You Are Not Alone, Boe's prophesy?

If so, what does ATILLO stand for?

Wrong plotholes

In the plothole section, the first one says that there's a problem with Yana\the master regenerating. It's about regenaration limits of the time lords. However he has a new body by now, so can obviously regenerate up to the limit. It also adds that it was explained in sound of drums. The regenaration limit has'nt even been mentioned in the new seires yet! This thing should obviously be deleted!!

16th??? i only thought is was the 5th going to the 6th! --80.175.253.37 12:57, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Evolution???

With the appearance of Rich Dawkins in "Stolen Earth" (just look at it empirically, these plants haven't come to us, we've been moved!!) it occurred to me that the presence of apparently normal human beings (for the 21st century, anyway) is out of place in the year 100 Trillion. We went from descending from trees to landing on the Moon in about, what - 3 million years? (Five if you go the Quatermass route). So the idea that we're still looking pretty much unchanged at the end of time seems hard to accept. I was wondering how the show dealt with this irony. The Doctor explicitly talks about this bit of evolution while first walking through the Silo corridors. He mentions humanity having evolved into other forms for periods of time, but always ultimately ending up back to this same basic form (i.e., looking like we do now). Time and Space

The Doctor said that Jack is a fixed point in time and space. If this were true, Jack would need exist in every moment and be in the exact same place, never moving. Even if Jack is the Face of Boe he still isn't eternal because we have seen the Face of Boe die, and we have seen him move around so why does the Doctor say this? Is it a simple continuity error or am I simply missing something? KFNMNPA 20:27, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

It's not a continuity error, but the Doctor may be mistaken about Jack's immortality (based on the apparent death of the Face of Boe). The Doctor has been shown to be mistaken before.. As for being a fixed point in time & space, that doesn't necessarily imply that he cannot move location, just that he must continue to exist. Spreee 20:03, January 20, 2010 (UTC)Spreee

how does the doctor know that that is the 'end of the universe'?

In Plotholes it asks "If the time lords have never been that far in the future, how does the doctor know that that is the 'end of the universe'?"
