No as The End of Time, Master and Divided Loyalties all show that the Doctor and the Mast were friends who played together in their youth and attended the Academy together. --Revan\Talk 19:17, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I wasn't being clear (I definitely muddled things by saying "had a history"), but I meant that this novel clearly doesn't "establish[...] that the Doctor knew the Master prior to Terror of the Autons and they had known each other prior to this story" as the lead says. As all of the stories you mentioned post-date The Dark Path, I'm a bit confused by the point of that.

But still, Terror of the Autons says they went to school together, ergo Terror of the Autons establishes that the Doctor and Master know each other from before Terror of the Autons. Did I get that right? -- Tybort (talk page) 19:29, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
