Name change[]
Considering most characters on this wiki are titled with their name followed by the story they appeared in, I believe Rogue should have the same. Otherwise people may search him up, see the page title in the search results and dismiss it as a different character who appeared in a story called "Bounty Hunter". Changing the title would also keep the name consistent with other pages on this wiki. I understand that means the title would essentially be the same word repeated twice (Rogue (Rogue)) but I believe it would be worth it to avoid confusion. At a stretch, we could make it "Rogue (TV: Rogue)". Haych Jee ☎ 16:09, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- I personally believe changing it would create more confusion. Everyone who frequents here enough to know that it's usually the name of the episode will know what that its not an episode titled "Bounty Hunter". Other people will will more likely without any further knowledge assume it's a job title. However, changing it to Rogue doesn't narrow it down much further unless you specifically are aware of the title rule. Most others will question why it's repeated, or maybe even think that it means the person is a rogue as in the descriptive term. The (TV: Rogue) idea isn't bad it just suggests we might have to change every page title with an episode title reference this way. So yeah I think bounty hunter creates the least confusion even if its breaks the trend. Case by case basis I guess depending on how the job sounds and what the episode title is. - Going by precedent set, unless policy is changed via forum discussion, it should be Rogue (Rogue). — Fractal Doctor • 21:57, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- User:Haych Jee and User:FractalDoctor are correct. Shambala108 ☎ 23:54, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Or, we could move it to "Rogue (bounty hunter)" and make the title lowercase. That way, we don't have the redundancy of repeating Rogue in the title, and removing the capitalization should help people realize that he's not a character from an episode called "Bounty Hunter" but the bounty hunter called Rogue. - That's an alright idea, but considering User:Shambala108's comment above, I say we stick to the policy and change the title to Rogue (Rogue). Haych Jee ☎ 14:22, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
We could put Rogue in "quote marks", since it's an alias, if that helps? — Fractal Doctor • 18:17, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
