Sydenham

Sydenham was a location in London. According to Charlotte Pollard, it later became known as Crystal Palace, owing to its location being the site of the famed Crystal Palace. (AUDIO: The Next Life)

History[]

On 30 November 1936, the Crystal Palace was destroyed in a fire, which was either caused by a hatched Phoenix (COMIC: The Eagle of the Reich) or the Tenth Doctor in defeating Victumus. (COMIC: The Crystal Palace)

Gallows Gate Road was located in Sydenham. Residents of No.1 Gallows Gate Road included Robert Mann, Mrs Mann, Major Wooley, Clive Plympton, M. Sillington, Miss Gibbs, and Bertha Baxter. The Tenth Doctor also lived there for a day in 1940. (PROSE: Number 1, Gallows Gate Road)

Behind the scenes[]

In real-world London, Sydenham and Crystal Palace, while close to one another, are generally perceived as two distinct areas.
