The Sun Store (or Mark Seven Sun-Catcher) was a satellite launched in Earth orbit in the early 21st century. Invented by Ramón Salamander, it collected the sun's rays and stored them in concentrated form, which were then used to increase the growth of crops three- or four-fold, thus alleviating global hunger on an overpopulated planet. The Sun Store also turned the previously desolate lands of Canada and Ukraine into fertile farmland, and allowed vineyards to be grown in Alaska. (TV: The Enemy of the World)
