The Stockbridge Cricket Club was a cricketing association in Stockbridge, England. The Fifth Doctor was an occasional member of the side. He had played for them on at least two occasions.
During one of these working visits, the club became the object of Melanicus' dark plans. He used the Event Synthesizer to link the cricket pitch at the club to an earlier moment in its history. This created much confusion, and even resulted in the bowling of a ball that was replaced with a live grenade thrown on the cricket pitch during World War II. (COMIC: The Tides of Time)
