Stanoff Osterling was the 23rd century writer of the plays The Captain's Honour and The Good Soldiers. He was considered to be a playwright the likes of William Shakespeare. (PROSE: Theatre of War) Martlak called Osterling a "half-breed". (PROSE: Passing Storms)

At some point, Osterling wrote a highly praised depiction of the Vogan War. Cymbelline Sharp hoped her play Gallifrey Falls No More would be considered a similar take on the Time War. (AUDIO: War Stories)
