Splice Alison Vater was the daughter of Anglican marine John Francis Vater.
Biography[]
By 5087, Splice was a young girl living on Kastarion 3 as her father, who was stationed on the planet fighting a war, possessed a special permit that let her stay there with him, and her mother was deceased. She was friends with another marine stationed at the same base, Mundy Flynn.
On 5 October that year, she met the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday as the Doctor stepped on a Villengard Smartmine. Her father was terminated by a Villengard Ambulance just mere minutes prior, and she was lured to the scene by the voice of his father's AI. A girl of faith, much like everyone else she knew, she recounted to the Doctor and Ruby that her mother was "gathered by God".
As the Doctor and Ruby eventually departed from Kastarion 3, she was left there in the care of Mundy Flynn. (TV: Boom [+]Steven Moffat, Doctor Who series 14 (BBC One and Disney+, 2024).)
