Southport

Southport was a coastal town in England.

Hex once said jokingly that Southport was even warmer than Alaska. (AUDIO: Lurker's at Sunlight's Edge)

History[]

In 1987, the Ninth Doctor saved a child from being hit by a VW Beetle in Southport. Before disppearing into the crowd, the Doctor told David Gee and his wife that "[he'd] regret that in the morning". (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)

In the late 20th century, prior to attending Cardiff University, Stan lived in Southport, where he had football trials for his local team. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead)

When Clara Oswald was nine years old, in the mid 1990s, her father, Dave, took her on a trip to a tower block near Southport with a restaurant at the top. The restaurant had a solid clear glass floor, but Dave assured her it was "safe as houses". Two lads inside the restaurant started jumping up and down on the glass, shouting they were going to break it in "language Dad later said did not suit young ladies". Since then, Clara was not very keen on heights, or indeed glass floors. (PROSE: Normality)

Undated events[]

In the wake of the Southport Incident, the world governments stopped stockpiling nuclear weapons. (PROSE: Just War)
