Sonam Scindia was a professor of astrophysics, exodus coordinator and orbital commander of Haven.
With other Scindias, she participated in the massacre of two Mumbai police officers in 2314.
On the opening day of Haven, she was aboard the station and giving an interview to Alia Bhonsla, during which she transformed into a Kaliratha and killed Roshan Ranjeev and sent Haven on a crash course for Earth. During the event, she made an announcement telling passengers not to be afraid and to give their lives to Kali. She was then attacked by Priyanka Maratha, who opened the airlock and ejected her into space. (COMIC: The Swords of Kali)
