Mr Sherrinford was a private detective who resided on Baker Street. He wore a fishing hat and played the kazoo. When consulted by the man investigating the murders of several amateur detectives, he told them his theory that the murders were being carried out by a criminal mastermind, and his intention to wait until the enemy revealed himself, as he saw the other detectives' deaths as not necessarily a bad thing. He was later murdered himself by his housekeeper, Mrs H, who had poisoned his tea. (PROSE: The Sleuth Slayers)
