Dame Sheila Hancock (born 22 February 1933[1]) played Helen A in the Doctor Who television story The Happiness Patrol.
She shared her memories of the story on The Happiness Patrol edition of Behind the Sofa.
She was also considered for the roles of Tanha in Snakedance (TCH 36) and Queen Katryca in The Mysterious Planet. (TCH 42)

She was married to The Evil of the Daleks guest actor Alec Ross and is the stepmother of Abigail Thaw.
