Selo was part of a cartel that ran a high stakes betting game, she had the Last of Zetacene swine as the prize. She mistook the Ninth Doctor as the vet she ordered. She speculated on when planets would go boom. She wanted to wine back her money from Nel but lost 25% of her, Luton's, Succeeding's and the Rotter's money in the process. She had the Zetacene freed so that it would kill the rest of her friends so she would gain their estates to regain her losses.
