A security guard stationed at the World Government research station in the Borrego Desert was a spy for Bereznik.

In 2066, Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and Parker investigated the facility because they had received intelligence from the British Secret Service that the suspected Bereznik spy Paul Carson was interested in the aerial car being developed there. Upon making their escape, Lady Penelope was caught by the guard, who grabbed her by the shoulder. He asked her for her identity and told her she was in a restricted area but Penelope swung round suddenly and hit him with her briefcase, knocking him unconscious. She reflected that the act "wasn't very polite" but that it was "most effective".

Sometime later, Lady Penelope and Parker followed Carson to a meeting with the guard in the desert using a homing device which had been placed on his car. They observed from behind a sand dune as the guard gave Carson the plans to the aerial car, with Penelope recognising the guard from the black eye she gave him. Ultimately, however, the guard's efforts were in vain as Carson was killed in a car crash while pursuing Lady Penelope and Parker in order to protect his secret. (COMIC: Desert Drama)
