Samur was a planet in the Madillon Cluster, and home of the Samurians. It was a refugee world free from the Sontaran-Rutan conflict of the next galaxy.
Samur was in the farthest reaches of the Sontaran Empire, though in the twenty years leading up to Sontaran martial year 5709, it technically laid in Rutan space. After the Witch Lords were hired by the Samurians and killed legions of Sontarans, the planet was carpet bombed.
