Ruth Maxtible was Theodore Maxtible's daughter. She was engaged to Arthur Terrall in 1866.
She was unaware of her father's dealings with the Daleks and unaware that they were controlling Arthur. On 2 June 1866, she greeted the Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon on their arrival at her father's house. She introduced Arthur and Jamie to each other, not knowing they had already met and clashed. She later intervened and comforted the maid Mollie Dawson when Arthur roughly interrogated her.
