Ruth Baxter was Doland's lab assistant. She was exposed to a virulent form of plant DNA which caused her to begin mutating into a human/plant hybrid. Professor Lasky, Bruchner and Doland secretly brought her aboard the Hyperion III hoping to get to Earth and find a cure for her there. She was killed by the Vervoids. (DW: Terror of the Vervoids)
