Behind the scenes[]
- Russell T Davies was first referenced in several short stories printed in the 2005 book Monsters and Villains, and his first full appearance was in the 2010 comic strip Return of the Klytode [+]Trevor Baxendale, DWA comic stories (BBC Magazines, 2010)., albeit as an unnamed future President of Earth.
- Among the Tenth Doctor's final remarks to the president in Return of the Klytode was that he was "sure [they]'ll meet again one day". This has some unintentional irony, as thirteen years after the comic's publishing, Russell T Davies would in fact return as executive producer of Doctor Who, alongside David Tennant portraying a new incarnation of the Doctor.

Russell T Davies also portrayed a fictionalised version of himself in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, phoning Peter Davison and proposing himself as a new incarnation of the Doctor.
