Empress Rose Tyler was an aggressive and righteous version of Rose Tyler who originated from an alternate timeline created by a temporal paradox. She worked with two incarnations of the Doctor to restore the original timeline before heading to the stars to found an interstellar empire to protect the whole universe.

Biography[]

Freedom fighter[]

Rose Tyler was born to Jackie and Pete Tyler in an alternate timeline in which the Earth was ruled by the Sea Devils. She grew up to become a part of a London-based resistance against the reptilian rulers, and was eventually separated from her parents. (COMIC: Alternating Current, A Little Help from My Friends)

Saving the timelines[]

In 2020, the Tenth Doctor of the primary N-Space timeline appeared and informed Rose that he knew a Rose Tyler in his timeline and there was something wrong with hers. After she reluctantly joined him in his TARDIS, the pair set out to undo the temporal paradox that brought her timeline into existence. They later came across and teamed up with the Thirteenth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor's future self, and her companions.

Alongside a rogue Skithra Queen, they prevented the premature awakening of the Sea Devils at the Raven Peninsula in 1903 and rescued Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison from the Skithra, undoing the paradox and restoring the timeline to normal. Having now travelled through the Time Vortex, Rose managed to survive the timeline rewrite. Realising there was nothing left for her on this new Earth, she requested the Tenth Doctor drop her off on another conquered planet so as to keep fighting and liberate them from their oppressors as Earth now had. Leading an empire[]

Left to her own devices, Rose continued to liberate planets, eventually forming an empire's worth of followers. After crowing herself as an empress, Rose began to prepare her space fleet to end all war in the galaxy. Over time, she began to form a psio-temporal link with her counterpart from the primary N-Space timeline experiencing flashes of her counterpart's life in Pete's World. Rose sent out D'Pau to find the Doctor so he could aid her in making sense of the visions. When D'Pau brought the Eleventh Doctor to her on Creerm, Rose had him locked up while her technicians examined the TARDIS.

After briefing her fleet on its flight path, Rose was ambushed by the Eleventh Doctor, now joined by the Eighth Doctor and her counterpart, who had been brought through from Pete's World by the link. As Rose spoke to her counterpart, the Eleventh Doctor summoned his TARDIS around her, taking her to a planet she'd liberated. Though the former oppressed were now thriving, the Doctor pointed out that the former oppressors were now slaves. Despondent, Rose heeded the Doctor's advice to turn her empire into one of peace. Returning she discovered that D'Pau had overthrown her and allied with the Sontarans. After the Doctors had deduced how the Sontarans had reached Creerm, they brought the two Roses to the centre of the fleet and had them touch, the Blinovitch Limitation Effect, sending the Sontarans away. Retaking control of her empire, Rose bid goodbye to the Eleventh Doctor and set about turning it into a force for peace. (COMIC: Empire of the Wolf)
